Stations of the Cross - This Lent, you are invited via YouTube to Stations of the Cross, or the Way of Sorrows, which is the fourteen point journey acknowledging Jesus's experience from being condemned to death to the tomb. Typically prayed on Fridays, this is a fabulous and contemplative liturgy that interactively serves as a pilgrimage for us as believers. Please join us virtually for this ancient and profound discipline! For more information, please visit: https://www.neighborhoodparish.org/--stations-of-the-cross.html

Welcome to the neighborhood...

Thank you for visiting our website. St. Matthew Episcopal Church has been serving God within The Puyallup Tribe of Indians Reservation and in the neighborhood of Browns Point, Dash Point, Northeast Tacoma and Federal Way since 1951. Although we have been here a while, we are a mixed band of neighbors and sojourners who enjoy discovering how God is found in our lives and in the world. Every week, we gather to share stories, break bread and listen. If you are seeking a place to belong and grow, come and see. You just might find that being a neighbor is a gift that lasts a lifetime and beyond!

Our Mission...

To be a church that passionately embraces and values all people, growing in the love of Christ through word and action.

We acknowledge that we are on the traditional homelands of the Puyallup Tribe. The Puyallup people have lived on and stewarded these lands since the beginning of time, and continue to do so today. We recognize that this land acknowledgement is one small step toward true allyship and we commit to uplifting the voices, experiences, and histories of the Indigenous people of this land and beyond.
