Ash Wednesday is the one day in the Church calendar that we celebrate our mortality.  It is a day that reminds us that we are not God and can never become God.  This gives us a great starting place for beginning our journey Faith as we ponder the mystery of God’s full and real presence in our lives throughout the 40 Days of Lent (not counting Sundays) on the way to the Cross and the Empty Tomb.
